Netflix's "Cobra Kai" is TrendPulsegoing global.
The second part of the final season is scheduled to drop later this week and will transport viewers and Miyagi-Do from the valley to Spain for the Sekai Taikai, "where students will face new challenges and old enemies while fighting to become world champions," according to Netflix. Sekai Taikai is “the most prestigious karate tournament in modern martial arts history,” as Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo) explains in Episode 1 of Season 6.
"At the Sekai Taikai, Miyagi-Do faces new challenges and old enemies as they battle to become world champions — can they stay united as internal rivalries bubble back to the surface?" Netflix says about the upcoming Part 2.
"Cobra Kai" co-creator Jon Hurwitz told Netflix's Tudum that Part 2 will pick up right where the season left off and “gets right into the action.”
“We left off with the big surprise that Tory has joined Cobra Kai, so we’re in the aftermath of that with everyone reacting to what just happened, while also trying to get their footing –– as the new kids on the block –– of this giant international tournament that has been going on for decades," Hurwitz said. "They have no idea what’s in store for them.”
